Phishing - A Social method of fraud

Sharing my personal experience

I received first anonymous mail about 7 years ago which stated that I have won a lottery of some million dollars and I quickly responded to this as I was innocent but not too innocent to be circumvented.

In the same era of innocence , I got a lucrative job in Nigeria and than found its fraud before loosing money in shape of processing charges or so.

Now a days almost everyday I won millions of Dollars and Pounds and my mail ID is selected in number of lotteries on the web. Would that these were original and I would be a richest person..lol.

There are lot of ways of fraudulent money snatching on web through e-mails. I want you to beware of these type of cyber / social attacks.

Precautions;

• Please do not respond to e-mails from your Bank demanding your I-net bank login password for any updation or whatever the reason. Actually it is not from your bank rather fake screen and fake environment same as your bank's site.
• Do not respond to unidentified spam mails.
• Do not bother money you have won in any lottery or donated money from any deceased where you have been choosen to donate further, any female inviting you support her in business or taking opportunity to invest her money etc.
• Make your I-net bank password unique.
• Make sure about any mail from your friend's ID demanding money for any emergency situation that it is original.
• Use different passwords for your different social site accounts and email accounts.
• Do not give login password info on a call coming from your Company's helpdesk before ensuring its jenuinness.

There are lot of methods of fraud and lot of precautionary measures to be taken. I think readers understand the soul of message and will spread it informally to all friends for their benefits.
